Vacuum Aging:

VT Vacuum Heat Treaters offers commercial vacuum ageing (precipitation hardening) to increase the strength, hardness, and durability of specialized alloy parts. Following solutionizing, parts are heated to controlled aging temperatures in a clean vacuum chamber down to 5 x 10⁻⁵ mBar. Heating under vacuum prevents surface oxidation and discoloration, leaving components clean and ready for final assembly.

All aging cycles are managed to strict temperature uniformity standards under AMS 2750E and ISO 9001 guidelines. We routinely age-harden precipitation-hardened alloys (such as 17-4 PH, 15-5 PH, and 17-7 PH) to target conditions like H900, as well as beryllium copper and nickel-based alloys.
